This track started as an obsessive personal challenge to make a cover of this song happen. Eventually there was a track, and a hang with my friend Monika that included watching a lot of videos online, naturally she had to sing this. Monika sang with Nancy when we toured together for The Juan MacLean's tours in 2015, so I asked her if she'd like rejoin Monika to be Frida and Agnetha. Done. I knew my friend Greg had a decent acoustic guitar and, a really good producer in his own right, could probably do what I needed ("Pretend the acoustic guitars are the hi-hats). Done. Last thing was I really didn't like my faux drums, so I asked Gunnar who I've also toured with on Fischerspooner dates if he could do a pass. Voila.

Originally there was talk about putting this out last year for the Australian fires as a benefit, but I had no idea how to obtain a license for the track to do it legit. In the intervening months, sent 20 texts around and figured out the best way to get the license for this and obviously there are a lot of things in our world that need our attention, our money, our kindness, and our vigilance, more than ever it seems. So here we are.
