Pines Of Nowhere was a band from Washington, DC who released a full-length, self-titled CD on Slowdime (via Dischord) and a 3-song 7" on Level Plane. The band was around 1999-ish to 2003-ish. Stevie Treichel played drums on the first record before quitting the band and moving to Chicago. Chris Turco joined the band not long after and they toured the USA playing with Trans Am, Burning Airlines, Oneida, The Fucking Champs and probably others.

These two songs come from a full-length record that was made around the time of their last tour at Trans Am's studio in Washington, DC. It was sort of half-finished but the band broke up.

All the songs on this record were written in the wake up 9/11, the midst of the W. Bush administration, and it's kind of a record about a breakup. Politics or love, you choose.
